The twenty-fifth annual Summer’s End Retreat for Nebraska’s rural single Christians is sponsored by an interdenominational committee of Christians from across the state. The speaker for this year’s retreat will be Gordon Thiessen. Gordon is Fellowship of Christians Athlete’s Director of Training and Resource Development and the Chaplain of Nebraska Christian Schools. He received his education at UNL and Talbot Seminary. The title for this year’s retreat is “Because Truth Matters: The Urgency of Spiritual Discernment.” In addition to the speaker, the weekend will also be filled with recreation, games, great food, singing, swimming, free time and a chance to network with other singles from across the state.
