Youth for Christ / Teen Parents, Lincoln, NE

Position:  Teen Parents Coordinator

Position Description:  Each week a new life is welcomed into this world by the arms of a teenager. These moms and dads are often ill-equipped to raise this new child. The Teen Parents Lincoln program has for years successfully come along side these young men and women to help them navigate these new challenges.

Minimum Requirements:  As a Teen Parents coordinator you will spend time with pregnant and parenting teens. Through your relationship with these girls you will help them navigate social systems, learn parenting skills, and complete high school. You will also help recruit and train unpaid staff and volunteers to accompany other girls. This role does require participation in fundraising.

Youth for Christ / Young Life, Lincoln, NE

Position:  HS or MS Outreach Director

Position Description:  We are launching new outreaches to students in several area schools including, but not limited to: Waverly HS, Irving MS, Ashland HS.

Minimum Requirements:  A good candidate for this position will have a passion to see students come to a relationship with Jesus Christ. They will have worked or volunteered with youth programs, be willing to walk into a room of unknown students and develop friendships, and be a mobilizer of others.

East Lincoln Christian Church, Lincoln, NE

Position:  Contemporary Worship Leader

Position Description:  The person in this position doesn't just play and sing on Sunday mornings, he or she helps lead people into worship and a deeper relationship with God. He or she selects worship songs, seeks out relevant, up to date music, as well as assist the pastor in the all around planning of meaningful and experiential worship.

Minimum Requirements:  ELCC's contemporary worship leader has a deep love for God, is passionate about worship and also in tune with the contemporary/modern Christian music industry. Ability to play acoustic guitar and/or piano is preferred. Compensation depends on skill level, experience, and availability.

Open Door Mission, Omaha, NE

Position:  Volunteer Coordinator

Position Description:  Open Door Mission is a gospel rescue mission providing basic needs and life-changing programs for the homeless and needy. This job requires you to be on your feet and you will work in various weather conditions. The hours are 11:30am to 8:00pm Tuesday-Thursday, Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm and Saturday 8:30am to 5:00. Hours will vary during the fall and winter months.
-Provide spiritual help and encouragement to volunteers on a regular basis.
-Provide tours to volunteers and donors.
-Field work with volunteers.

Position:  Family Support Worker

Position Description:  The Open Door Mission is a gospel rescue mission providing basic needs and life-changing programs for the homeless and needy. You must be non-smoker and be a regular attendee of a Christian Church.

Handle crises with women, children and families to resolve problems/concerns. Maintain files, notes and documentation on clients. Monitor the dispensing of medications.Teach and role model the use of problem solving skills to settle disagreements and relationship issues. Attend staff meetings and ODM staff meetings. Responsible for sharing gospel with all new intakes using forms in intake package. 

Minimum Requirements:  Associate degree in human service administration or related area. Two years experience in social services or family support services. Spiritual training in ministries.

Counseling skills, computer skills, knowledge of multi-cultural counseling, crisis intervention training. Knowledge of chemical dependencies and rehabilitation. Knowledge of domestic violence and mental illness treatments.

Press On Ministries, Kaerney, NE

Position:  Ministry Partner

Position Description:  Press On Ministries located in Kearney NE. is seeking a partner/s to assist current missionary couple. The position can be part time at first while applicant seeks full time support; we will gladly help with support raising.

Minimum Requirements:  Beginning responsibilities will include directing the youth and children’s Bible studies, outreach events, continued development of our internship program and helping with building and ground maintenance.
