Parenting Time Partner (part-time, non-exempt), Christian Heritage, Lincoln, NE
Christian Heritage is seeking part-time Parenting Time Partners to supervise visits between the biological parent(s) and their child(ren). Parenting time is typically provided when a child(ren) has (have) been removed from the family home and supervision must occur to allow parents or other family members to interact with their child(ren). Ensuring safety for all participants is the highest priority. Documenting family strengths and areas of concern during each visit will be required. Parenting Time visits allow families and their child(ren) the opportunity to spend quality time together. This allows the family to remain connected and build a stronger bond. The overall goals are to allow families the opportunity to engage with one another and to maintain the family unit and keep all family members safe.
Qualifications: This position requires the Parenting Time Partner to work days, evenings and weekends (depending on the need of families on caseload) to provide in-home family services, specifically Parenting Time to families that have been separated. All qualified applicants should be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent - required. A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services-related field is required. Must be able to demonstrate emotional stability, strong interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in professional training and education. Must be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population we serve. Applicants must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with a high degree of patience, perseverance, and empathy. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must meet auto insurance requirements established by Christian Heritage policy and/or state and local laws; must be able to travel locally using own transportation (mileage reimbursed), within the state or coverage area as required. Must complete a defensive driving course offered at Christian Heritage prior to transporting clients.

Professional Foster Parents (Teaching Parents), Christian Heritage, Lincoln, NE
Christian Heritage, a faith based ministry, is seeking Teaching Parents with residential or group homes experience to live in one of our homes on campus and provide Professional Foster Care. The ideal family will have at least 2 years of group home experience caring for 6-8 youth in their home. Christian Heritage transitioned 6 of our group homes into Professional Foster Homes and has experienced great success in achieving a healthy family environment for both the foster parents and the youth we serve. This is a sub-contract with your family, where you will care for 4-6 foster children (10-18 yrs. of age), with one parent having the opportunity to work outside the home if you so desire. Compensation will range from $32,000 to $54,000 -- based on the number of youth for whom you choose to care. Each of the foster children in your home will attend public school in the community, as Christian Heritage works to restore the family and transition each of the children to living again with their family of origin. The agency-based foster care model provides you with 24/7 support and consultation. Your family will have the opportunity to review background information of youth being referred for placement and you will be involved in the placement decision.
