Position: Recruiter, Christian Heritage, Kearney, NE
Position Description: The Recruiter implements a recruitment plan setting the course for the future to generate interest in and bring about the licensing of new foster families. Networking, meeting, screening and making sure the people enroll for training are the essence of this job. The Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment of new foster families in the Omaha metro area. This position is the initial contact for inquiring families who have an interest in learning more about foster care. The Recruiter understands all State guidelines for families completing the required background checks, medical exams and additional information necessary.
The successful candidate must be a positive representative of Christian Heritage; implement Christian Heritage’s church strategy; Assemble a recruiting protocol with the assistance of supervisor; Responsible for maintaining regular contact with all potential foster families and follow-up as needed; Network with churches and other groups about foster care needs; meet with families who are interested in providing foster care to communicate with them how Christian Heritage operates, how the foster care system works and answer any questions they may have; Meet at least once with every potential family in their home prior to the family being accepted for licensing or transfer to ensure the home could be licensed; Take every safety precaution necessary to screen out inappropriate potential foster parents; research and recommend possible new recruitment and selection methods; strive for continuous improvement of processes and tools used in the recruitment and selection proces s; Participate in career fairs, advertisements, etc
Minimum Requirements: All qualified candidates must have graduated from high school or received GED, be at least 21 years of age and have a Bachelor’s Degree in either human services, communications or sales/marketing or other related area . Knowledge of or training in Nebraska’s foster care system required; Prior recruiting or sales experience preferred; Requires experience with personal computer equipment; must be familiar with the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population we serve in order to explain the needs of the children to potential foster parents. Identify developmental needs of potential foster parents and coach, mentor or otherwise help them to improve; Strong interpersonal skills required. Proven networking capability and presenting experience are important. Flexibility with schedule required. This individual must have the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Regular travel within the Omaha metr o area will be necessary. Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. Deal with people in a manner which shows integrity, sensitivity, tact, professionalism and consistency. Build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among foster parents and others both internally and externally. Background checks and reference checks are required. Must have own auto liability insurance, own transportation and have a good driving record. Must be spiritually mature, having demonstrated commitment to stable spiritual practices and ongoing personal development.

Position: Professional Foster Parents, Christian Heritage, Lincoln, NE
Position Description: Christian Heritage is seeking a couple with experience caring for at-risk youth and children to live in one of our large residential homes on campus and provide Professional Foster Care in a home atmosphere. Respite service is available to you. The ideal family will have 2+ years of experience caring for 3+ at-risk youth in their home. Christian Heritage transitioned 6 of our group homes into Professional Foster Homes and has experienced great success in achieving a healthy family environment for both the foster parents and the youth we serve. Christian Heritage would create a contractual relationship with you, where you will care for an average of 4+ foster children. Only one parent will work outside the home. Each of the foster children in your home will attend public school in the community, as Christian Heritage works to restore the family and transition each of the children to living again with their family of origin. You will have the op portunity to review background information of youth being referred for placement, and you will be involved in the placement decision.
Minimum Requirements: The ideal couple will have at least 2 years of experience caring for 3+ at-risk youth in their home.

Position: Outreach & Events Coordinator, Todd Becker Foundation, Kearney, NE
Position Description: This person would primarily be responsible for the scheduling, management and coordination of the Todd Becker Foundation’s outreach efforts through high school assemblies and summer outreaches across the Midwest. Duties include, but are not limited to: marketing of the assembly to high schools and churches, introductory phone call marketing, graphic design, evangelism and ministry during outreach events, and other duties typically associated with booking events. The position is a full-time position.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must posses a strong ability to communicate, be very comfortable starting and leading conversations, be outgoing, energetic and must be comfortable making introductory telephone calls to school administrators and churches. In addition, this individual must be a self-starter, highly motivated to serve Christ and His kingdom as well as have a teachable spirit willing to grow not only in this ministry position, but in their relationship with the Lord.
