Recruiter/Trainer of Volunteers - Lincoln office (full-time, non-exempt)

We have an immediate need for a full-time Volunteer Recruiter/Trainer in the Lincoln office to set the course for the success of the Fatherhood Initiative Program by recruiting new volunteer team members and facilitating their training in working with inmates who are about ready to be or have been recently released. Networking, meeting, recruiting, screening, moving people along in the process and training people are the essence of this job. The Volunteer Recruiter/Trainer is responsible for scheduling his/her own appointments, fulfilling the recruiting goals identified for the year, collecting and processing material and data, as well as training of new volunteer teams.

Description
This individual is primarily responsible for recruitment and training of volunteer teams and records management documentation.

Qualifications
All qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age and either graduated from high school or received GED equivalent and have at least 1 year of experience working within the human services, prisons or sales/marketing-related field. Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or Marketing field is preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to network, recruit and retain a group of strong volunteers willing to work with former inmates. Experience training others in a fun, interactive setting is a plus. The individual must have the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Computer skills required. Data entry experience a plus. Must have the ability to meet new people and follow-up promptly to facilitate the recruitment process. Ability to interact with people from diverse racial, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ability to be highly efficient, organized and accurate in work. Deal with people in a manner which shows integrity, sensitivity, tact, professionalism and consistency. Build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among volunteers and others both internally and externally. Some travel will be necessary. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record as well as the ability to pass background checks. Must be spiritually mature, having demonstrated commitment to stable spiritual practices and ongoing personal development.

Professional Foster Parents, Lincoln, Nebraska -- 2 homes

Are you the one called to serve in this role?

Description:
Christian Heritage is seeking a couple with experience caring for at-risk youth and children to live in one of our large residential homes on campus and provide Professional Foster Care in a home atmosphere. Respite service is available to you. The ideal family will have 2+ years of experience caring for 3+ at-risk youth in their home. Christian Heritage transitioned 6 of our group homes into Professional Foster Homes and has experienced great success in achieving a healthy family environment for both the foster parents and the youth we serve. Christian Heritage would create a contractual relationship with you, where you will care for an average of 4+ foster children. One parent has the opportunity to work outside the home if you so desire. Each of the foster children in your home will attend public school in the community, as Christian Heritage works to restore the family and transition each of the children to living again with their family of origin. You will have the opportunity to review background information of youth being referred for placement and you will be involved in the placement decision.

Qualifications:
The ideal couple will have at least 2 years of experience caring for 3+ at-risk youth in their home.
