1. How can I post my event on the Community Connections Calendar?
We would love to help you get the word out about your event!
From the home page, click on the "Community Connections" tab.
Then click "Submit an Event" and completely fill out and submit the form to us.
We will review your submission and, upon approval, get it posted on the calendar!
2. Will you promote my event on air?
It is our sincere desire to be good stewards of the local Christian radio stations that God has called us to steward. Part of this role involves the privilege of presenting ministry opportunities and happenings to an extensive listening audience. As we receive numerous announcement requests on a regular basis we have developed a prioritized system of promoting these opportunities on air.
If you would like to submit a special request for promoting an event or ministry opportunity, please submit it to the community calendar, and we will automatically consider it for on air announcement time.
We are privileged to keep you connected to local ministry opportunities and events.
3. What song just played and who was it by?
You can always check to see what song is currently playing on our website. If you need information about a song that played earlier in the day (or any other song for that matter), you can call or email us and we will do our best to help you! email@mybridgeradio.net or 888-627-1020
4. Why entrust KMMJ to The Praise Network?
God is doing exciting things with the My Bridge Radio network! Allow me to get you somewhat up to speed! Over the past four years, we have gained crystal clarity of why God has sovereignly positioned us within local Christian radio ministry in Nebraska! Mission Nebraska's focus is unity! We remain convinced that addressing the issue of unity among the Body of Christ is the single greatest factor that could and would exponentially accelerate evangelism in communities all across our state! We have come to see that the greatest roadblock to unity is very practical. We don't have any common connecting points! We meet separately; we have separate web sites and newsletters and conferences. So where do we hear each other's hearts and learn of each other's plans? We believe local Christian radio can be a significant context where that can happen! The format we feel best lends itself for THAT purpose is a music intensive format, which allows more time per hour for local content. When Mission Nebraska redeemed KMMJ for kingdom use two years ago, it was out of our value for the Word of God being taught and out of our desire to serve the region by providing this country's BEST Bible teachers and Christian talk in areas that didn't have access previously! Recently God has opened up an incredible door for Mission Nebraska to quadruple the coverage area of our target format! Even now we are being aired from Lexington to North Platte and from Seward to Crete, with several other regions to come online in the coming year! In order for us to be faithful in seizing this divine moment, we have realized we need to allow someone else to steward this talk intensive format. Believe me, it hasn't been easy for us to let go! We KNOW how God uses His Word, powerfully communicated, to transform lives! And it has been a blessing to be a part of that. However, what we are excited about is that we are able to hand off KMMJ to another ministry that is going to continue what we have begun! Sometime during the first quarter of 2008, we will be entrusting KMMJ to The Praise Network to faithfully steward Christian talk in the heartland! The Praise Network is a 21-year-old ministry that has other radio properties in both Nebraska and Kansas. They are great brothers in Christ with tons of experiencing and a proven track record. Let me be clear on one point, we are not selling KMMJ. The Praise Network will assume the loan where it is and therefore all equity previously invested in KMMJ will remain in KMMJ! While The Praise Network will bring their unique flavor to KMMJ, be confident that Talk You Can Trust will remain the cornerstone of what you hear on AM750 KMMJ! Currently they are looking at making programming decisions and it would be very helpful for them to know which programs have been appreciated on KMMJ! You can contact them by sending your emails to KMMJ@praisenetwork.org or calling 888.920.5665. And remember, to listen to Music with a Message that connects you to God, to each other and to the work of God in your region, tune into MY Bridge Radio on 95.7 in the tri-cities, 99.3 in the Platte Valley or on one of our translators that can be found on our web site, www.mybridgeradio.net. - Stan Parker, Co-Director of Mission Nebraska
5. Why My Bridge Radio?
My - a word that, for the Christian, implies stewardship.
When God gives to us out of His generosity, we receive it from His hands with thankfulness and then we take ownership of it, not in a possessive way as those who don't know God, but in the spirit of stewardship.
And in owning that gift before God we say "MY," realizing that "my" also applies to the by-products of that stewardship!
It is MY responsibility to take care of that gift.
It is MY responsibility to use that gift for God's glory.
It is MY responsibility to share that gift with others!
Central Nebraska, God has given YOU the GIFT of TWO local Christian radio stations! KROA & KMMJ! "Music with a Message" and "Talk you can Trust"!
We as a ministry have felt MANY of you OWNING these gifts in a very God-honoring way!
You have prayed! You have volunteered! You have invested! You have chosen to be a part of a miracle!
So, we want you to say MY.... Because it IS yours! Not to possess, but to Steward with us!
My - a word that, for the Christian, implies stewardship.
